This is a native JavaScript implementation in development. It uses Canvas and WebAudio with decoded original demo assets. It does not execute the original EXE or use DOSBox, WebAssembly or an instruction interpreter.
Recovered and implemented: original maps, planar tile graphics, span-encoded sprites, player movement, collision probes, diagonal collision responses, player animation sequences, door activation and timing, color-card pickups, retreat controls, ordinary chaser enemies, conveyor animation, and machine-gun projectiles. The movement and entity tests match 20,184 fields across 205 captured original-game states. A separate firing trace matches all 495 ammunition and cooldown comparisons. These tests cover a specific route in the starting level.
Still incomplete: additional enemy and scenery callbacks, the full weapon set, shop interactions, destructive scenery, original music, lighting, two-player support, and exact menu/display fidelity. Map transitions, teleports and computer messages are implemented but still need broader original-game comparisons. This build is not a finished 1:1 port.
The earlier DOS version remains available at tower-assault.sandscape.cc.
